Definable is a unified AI platform with four tightly integrated products: an Assistant with 50+ models and 1000+ app integrations, private Knowledge Bases, a Creative Studio for photo and video, and Def Code — a CLI for engineers. Everything shares one login, one credit pool, and one UX. ### How is it different from ChatGPT or Claude? ChatGPT gives you one model. Claude gives you one model. Definable lets you switch between 50+ models, assign tool access per workflow, and bundles creative + code tooling. Think less "chatbot" and more "AI operating system." ### Can I bring my own API keys? Yes. On Pro and above, you can bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Cohere, Together, or Groq keys — or use ours with included credits. Enterprise supports Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and on-prem deployments. ## Pricing & billing ### How do credits work? Each model has a credit cost per 1k tokens (input + output). Larger models cost more credits. Your plan includes a monthly allowance; unused credits don't roll over. Image and video generation have separate credit values shown before each run. ### Can I change plans mid-cycle? Yes — upgrade takes effect immediately and we prorate the difference. Downgrades apply at the next billing cycle. ### Is there a free trial of Pro? Starter is free forever. For Pro, we offer a 14-day trial with no credit card — or refund within 30 days, no questions, if you upgrade and change your mind. ### Do you offer student or startup discounts? Yes — 50% off Creator for verified students. And 6 months free of Pro for YC, Sequoia Surge, and participating accelerator companies. ## Security & privacy ### Do you train on my data? Never. Your prompts, documents, knowledge bases, and generated content are never used to train models — ours or any third party's. This is contractual on every plan, not just Enterprise. ### Where is my data stored? Region of your choice: India (Mumbai), United States (Virginia), or EU (Frankfurt). Enterprise plans can deploy to your own VPC or on-prem. ### What certifications do you hold? SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, DPDP (India), GDPR-compliant processing. HIPAA-eligible on Enterprise. Security page has the current auditor reports and DPA templates. ## Developers ### Is there an API? Yes — a REST + streaming API that proxies every supported model with a unified request shape. Plus an MCP server so you can expose Definable as a tool to any MCP-compatible client. ### What languages does Def Code support? Any language your repo uses. Def Code doesn't care — it reads your files, respects your toolchain, runs your scripts. First-class support for TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Swift, Kotlin, and their common frameworks. ## Creative ### Do I own what I generate? Yes. Full commercial rights on every plan — including Starter. No watermarks, no attribution required. ### How long can generated videos be? Currently up to 10 seconds at 1080p. Longer sequences can be stitched in-app. We're working on coherent 30-second generation for later this year. ## Teams & enterprise ### Do you support SSO and SCIM? Yes — SAML/SSO and SCIM provisioning available on Pro and above. Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, JumpCloud supported out of the box. ### Can we deploy in our VPC? Yes, on Enterprise.
